Several months ago, I noticed my pingbacks and trackbacks can’t be shown. I thought that must be some communication problems. Later, I found in-blog pingbacks can’t, either. Then, I found the pingbacks had been identified as SPAM! But I have no idea how to fix it. Yesterday, I read “Is Akismet Wrongly Blocking Your Not-Spam Blog Comments?“, so I sent a support request. Less than 24 hours, I got a reply. They said they have fixed it.
Now! I am pingbacking to Test Pingback. Hope I can see it! Updated: Yes! I see it.
I guess the cause is my server is shared host, some might do bad things. Akismet may have a blacklist for IPs, I guess… I also use Akismet to protect my blog. I think there were some people have same problems with my blog. Sorry about that!

Many of bloggers who aren’t using Blogger may have problems when they try to pingback or trackback those blog posts on Blogger. The official Blogger Help has explained that they don’t support Trackback. Moreover, by checking the source code, there is no such code like
<link rel="pingback" href="http://www.livibetter.com/blog/xmlrpc.php" />
Therefore, they don’t support Pinkback, either.
However, you may already notice there are some links to posts on Blogger, and those links are from different type of blogging system. How did they make it? The truth is they did nothing special. There is nothing to do from them. What are backlinks and how do I use them? reveals all the details.
First, this is all about Google Blog Search, its feed crawler and your own feed as well. If you want to link to a post on Blogger, you just put a hyperlink in your blog post. That’s it.
After you publish you post, the feed crawler will grab your blog feed(usually less than an hour after publish) and you will be able to search your post on Google Blog Search. The only thing left to be accomplished is finding your post by searching link:URI-to-the-post-on-Blogger-that-you-want-to-link. The last thing don’t seem to be happened all the time.
One more thing to mention for page rank cheater: Don’t waste your time to create lots of spam links! Those links are listed using JavaScript.
I always made a LB on Blogger: Backlinks test post for verifying, you are welcome to test on it.
