README。Few hours ago, I noticed that aMSN can’t show Chinese characters but escaped Unicode string (\uXXXX). There is no other fonts that I could switch in Preferences, the only one choice is “Fixed”. In this time, I just realized how ugly the text is in aMSN windows. However, these problems seem have nothing to do with aMSN. In next post, I will show you how to compile Tcl/tk 8.5 and aMSN for getting anti-aliasing fonts for aMSN. That makes aMSN beautiful.
On Fedora 8, all fonts are in /usr/share/fonts. There are well categorized within their own directories We need to generate fonts.dir (index file), fonts.scale (index file for scalable fonts) first, then cache it, add font paths to your X user preference, font paths rehash lastly.
Here are two scripts for helping, first one, genfontsdir, generates indexes:

Great! Traditional Chinese is the first Chinese version in Flickr. Maybe Flickr doesn’t accept users from China, or those users has been blocked by their government.
Anyway, this Traditional Chinese version has some weird words. I marked them in red. Although Flickr has Chinese version now, I would not use this version.
