WordPress 2.2.1 has been released three days, I just upgraded from 2.2. This should be the first time I read this kind of message.
I read a blog post one day ago, which was written in Chinese. It mentions few people tried to upgrade to 2.2 from previous versions but the upgrading failed. I haven’t had such problem, my SOP of upgrading are wget, tar, cp, rsync, svn, take few minutes. Since I use Subversion to store files, everything becomes easy job. If something goes wrong, just revert files. Of course, that only works for files, not for database. However, I haven’t had a chance to save my blog, I hope that I don’t need one.
